Or for your fantasy... Luce Lamoureux Touch
of poetry - watercolor to acrylic
Last May at the Gallery Symbol Art of Montreal, Luce Lamoureux presented its 16th
solo exposure. In the MAGAZIN'ART of spring 2003 edition an article « a
touch of poetry”» talked on the work of Luce Lamoureux which had been devoted fully to the
watercolour for more than twenty years.
From some time she explores various médiums to present the flowers in a new form. Finally, this
watercolors in her heart, she turned to the acrylic allowing her to continue his artistic step.
Its new challenge was to paint with the acrylic with the watercolor manner
by preserving the magic of the colors, the
transparencies and the dissolves found in its works. Resulting astonishing,
painted in a fluid atmosphere from where emerge from the very daring colors the
flower becomes a universe is, always also luminous, authenticates for it, at the
border of the abstraction and the figurative one. The public will be thus happy
to share the passion of this artist, with the watercolour or the acrylic, inspired by the play of the colors and water by revealing us of works impressed
of charm and poetry.

touch of poetry
Luce Lamoureux, painter of the
flower, explore the acrylic as much as the watercolour by suggesting the
flowers by forms often close to the abstraction in complicity with very intense
harmonies of colours. The poetry released by the flora at every season particularly
inspires this artist who transmits his passion to us by creating in his work an
atmosphere filled of emotion. By its works, it suggests us the flowers by spots
of colours being integrated into a species of chromatic blur, a universe
moving, a universe of poetry.
Luce Lamoureux explores these
two mediums with an exceptional address all while making us discover the
flowers his subject favourite. The oval, round and rectangular forms suggesting
vases in which are placed the colours, are integrated subtly into its flowers
by giving a different impression. The flowers, painted in transparency, border
the darker zones of the backgrounds from where they fall in avalanche on pots
from a very stylized aspect
