From a touch of poetry to watercolor to acrylic

In May 2009 at the Symbol Art Gallery of Montreal Luce Lamoureux presented her 16th solo exhibition. In the spring 2003 issue MAGAZIN'ART devoted an article "A touch of poetry" to the work of Luce Lamoureux, who had been fully dedicated to watercolor for more than twenty years.
For some time she has been exploring different mediums to present flowers in a new form. Finally, this watercolorist at heart turned to acrylics allowing him to pursue his artistic approach. His new challenge was to paint with watercolor-like acrylics while retaining the magic of colors, transparencies and fades found in his works. An astonishing result, painted in a fluid atmosphere from which daring colors arise, the flower becomes a universe in itself, always bright and authentic, on the border of abstraction and figurative.
The public will be happy to share the passion of this artist, watercolor or acrylic, inspired by the play of colors and water by revealing works full of charm and poetry.
